WEDDING & FIRST DANCE

Prepare a wedding dance that feels like the two of you

Think of a moment you can comfortably share, rather than a perfect performance. Discuss your first dance or wedding-party choreography based on your favourite song, the atmosphere of the wedding and the practice time available.

Picture the moment before choosing the song

The format needed will differ between a short dance after the couple's entrance and a reception performance shared with guests. First decide where guests will watch from and where the two of you will start and finish; this also makes it easier to choose the music's length.

If a song is meaningful to you, send its title or a link. You do not have to dance to the whole song. Once you choose a section and atmosphere, we can discuss a suitable length based on your dance experience and preparation time.

Small movements can connect into a memorable scene

If you are both new to dance, begin by thinking about creating a flow with walking, changing direction, holding hands and pausing. Matching your timing at the beginning and end of the music feels more natural than simply adding more movements.

In practice, leave time to run through the whole sequence from entrance to final greeting rather than repeating only the difficult parts. It can also help to agree on a familiar movement to return to if one person forgets the sequence. Lifts and deep leans require a separate decision after considering clothing, space and experience.

Knowing the venue helps make your preparation specific

Tell us the wedding date, stage size, floor conditions and what you will wear. A long dress or formal shoes can change how you move compared with practice clothes, so allow time to check movement under conditions similar to your actual outfits.

Tell us which location—Jamsil–Songpa, Seocho or Seodaemun—is convenient for practice and when you are both available, and we will check schedules and formats. The number of sessions and fees are provided after discussing the choreography's length, preparation time and number of participants.

Check your preferred location and schedule

Tell us your preferred location—Jamsil–Songpa ART SPACE, Seocho ART CENTER or Seodaemun ART HALL—and available days and times. Class arrangements, instructor schedules and fees are provided after consultation.

Frequently asked questions for first-time enquiries

Can we do this if neither of us has ever learned dance?

Begin by discussing a format for complete beginners. Tell us your preferred song and wedding date. Preparation can focus on movements the two of you can connect comfortably rather than complex techniques.

Can we enquire if our wedding is coming up soon?

First tell us your available dates and practice time. We will check whether the choreography's length and difficulty can be adjusted to the time remaining and whether an instructor is available. We do not guarantee completion within a particular period in advance.

Can we discuss a celebratory dance involving friends?

Tell us the number of participants, song, performance space and each person's experience. A couple's first dance and a group celebration dance require different practice approaches, so their formats are discussed separately.
